DIY Bookmarks a Fun Actuvity for Kids and Adults

Image
Today I have a fun craft for everyone that you can do with things from around the house. This is a very very simple DIY/craft you can do when you feel creative We are making our own bookmarks. In order to make the bookmarks you can either repurpose old things from around the house or use any craft supplies you have. For this craft you’ll need: 1. A piece of cardboard or an old notebook with hard covers. 2. Glue  3. Scissors  4. Ruler or something to draw straight lines with. 5. Pencil  6. Stickers or newspaper scraps to decorate with. 7. A big book  Now let’s get into the steps: 1. Gather the things you will need. 2. Measure how long you want your bookmarks, I made two  sizes one 15x5 cm and one 14x4 cm, those are great sizes but honestly you can kind of eyeball it and make it however long you want it. 3. If you are making a cardboard one you probably only need one piece depending on the thickness, if you are using notebook covers I suggest using two both so you can

10 Fun Snowy Day Activities

Here are some fun activities for snowy days you can try. It’s been very snowy lately in Greece so I got inspired to share my favorite snowy day activities. Enjoy!

1) Snow ball fight

A great way to have some fun in the snow you can also get a great workout from it. Just remember to not go too hard on people and end up hurting them.

2) Build a snowman

Such a creative activity to build a snowman with your friends and family or even by yourself.

3) Make an angel on the snow

I don’t really know how to explain this one but basically just lay in the snow and spread across your arms and legs. Like this:

4) Take a walk on the forest or in the park

Walking in nature can be beneficial on each own but it can be even better while enjoying the snow, if you don’t live somewhere where it snows frequently.

5) Go sleighing in the snow

Such a fun activity for snowy days grab a friend and go sleighing or even by yourself but remember to be safe.

6) Light your fireplace

It’s so nice to cuddle up next to the fireplace when it’s snowing outside. It’s just the perfect picture. If you don’t have a fireplace I would suggest putting on a video on your tv or pc just to get the effect. A great one is this one on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgHKb_7884o&t=34374s

Although there are many many more to choose from.

7) Sit by the window

If outdoor activities in the snow are too much of a hustle for you, you can enjoy the snow just as much indoors. Sit by the window with a warm drink and just let everything go, it’s a great time for meditation and just staring at the snow. Also you can read a nice book while snow is keeping you company. A great recommendation is By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept, Paulo Coelho. Here is my review of it https://justakiddd.blogspot.com/2021/01/what-i-learned-from-by-river-piedra-i.html

8) Wear fuzzy and warm pajamas

Another great indoor activity wear your fuzziest pajamas and just relax and enjoy the comfort of your own home.

9) Help shovel snow for a neighbor in need

As much fun snowy days can be, it’s not ideal for everyone. Why not help a neighbor with shoveling the snow in their house, especially if they are elderly. Don’t forget to be kind!

10) Make a soup

What greater thing after a day in the snow than to eat a nice warm soup to warm you up in and out. Personally I am a big fan of soups here are some of my favorite:

Roasted sweet potato and carrot soup:

CABBAGE AND POTATO SOUP (VEGAN):

That’s it for today folks, don’t forget to always be safe both considering COVID-19 but also in general in the snow, the cold and the ice can be dangerous sometimes so always be careful and have lots and lots of fun. See ya around.
